This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile app, website, or other services (collectively, the "Services").

1. What information we collect

  • Booking details: service type (domestic/commercial/carpet/oven cleaning), service address, appointment date/time, special instructions, and number of rooms.
  • Payment information: billing address, transaction details, and payment confirmations (note: payment card details are typically handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers—see Payments).
  • Communications: messages you send via the app, chat or support requests.
  • Ratings and reviews: feedback you submit about a cleaner or a service.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device & usage data: device model, operating system, app version, unique identifiers, crash logs, and usage analytics.
  • Location data: approximate or precise location (GPS) when you request location-based services. Location may be collected while the app is in use if you grant permission.
  • Log data: IP address, access times, pages or screens viewed and actions taken in the app.

1.3 Information from third parties

We may receive information from third parties such as identity verification providers, background check services (for cleaners), social logins (e.g., Google, Apple), and analytics providers.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the Services; process bookings and payments; communicate appointment confirmations, reminders, and receipts.
  • Authenticate accounts, personalize your experience, and show relevant content.
  • Facilitate communication between users and cleaners and handle disputes and reviews.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and legal requests.
  • Conduct analytics and measure performance to improve the app and services.
  • Send service-related notices and marketing communications (where you opt in to marketing).

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the services you request (e.g., booking cleaners).
  • Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the Services, prevent fraud, and ensure security (balanced against your privacy rights).
  • Consent: where required (e.g., marketing communications, precise location access).
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws or legal processes.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following circumstances:

  • With cleaners: to fulfill your booking (name, address, contact details, service notes).
  • Service providers: with payment processors, cloud hosting providers, analytics and communication vendors who perform services on our behalf.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets (with notice to users where required by law).
  • Law enforcement and legal requests: when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Aggregated or de-identified data: which cannot reasonably identify you, may be shared publicly or with partners.

5. Payments and billing

We use third-party payment processors (for example, Stripe, PayPal, or local payment gateways). When you make a payment, the payment processor may collect and store your payment card details. We do not store full payment card information on our servers unless explicitly stated. Please refer to your payment processor’s privacy policies for details about how they handle your financial information.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to provide, analyze, and improve our Services. Cookies help remember user preferences, maintain sessions, and collect analytics. You can control cookie preferences through your browser or device settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may impact the functionality of the Services.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes. Specific retention periods may vary by data type (for example, transaction records may be retained longer for tax or accounting purposes). If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data unless retained for legitimate legal reasons.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information. These measures include encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, secure data storage, logging, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure—please exercise caution when transmitting sensitive information.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Portability: request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Restriction: request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Objection: object to certain processing, including direct marketing.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the details in the Contact section below. We may ask for information to verify your identity before responding. If you are an EEA resident and unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with a local data protection authority.

10. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe we may have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

11. International data transfers

Our Services operate internationally. Information collected may be processed and stored in the country where our servers and service providers are located. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country. When transfers are subject to legal requirements (for example, EEA transfers), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms.

12. Third-party services and links

We may use third-party services (analytics, crash reporting, maps, email, payment processors) that collect information to help us operate and analyze the Services. These third parties have their own privacy policies; we encourage you to review them. Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services—we are not responsible for their practices or content.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a prominent notice within the app or by sending an email to the account email address.
